The Kēlen dictionary is ordered by stems. A stem is the form of the word without any inflectional affixes. Each stem is derived from a smaller list of seeds. Currently, the dictionary contains 687 seeds and 1740 stems, making 2142 words.
To search for a specific stem (or word), enter any part of the stem in the box to the right of the "Search for a Stem Like:" button. Use the special character buttons to the left of the input field to enter special characters. When finished, click on the "Search for a Stem Like:" button to find the corresponding base(s).
To search by definition or part of a definition, enter a word or part of a word in the box next to the button that says "Search for a Definition like:" and then click on that button.
In the results, stems and seeds will show up as links. Click on a stem link to see only that stem, and click on a seed link to see a list of stems derived from that seed.
You also can browse by seed: list of all seeds or random seed.
